TIPS:
* If you are willing to relocate for a job, be certain to indicate this information on your resume.

* If you have a “home” phone number and a “cellular” phone number, list both of them to increase your accessibility.

* Limit the resume artwork – even if you’re a crackerjack graphic designer. You can show your portfolio during an interview.

* Submit your resume in a WORD document.

* Save your resume in a “last name.month.year” format (you don’t need to indicate that it’s your resume – the employer will know what it is!)

* Be sure to spell-check and have a really good HUMAN speller read your resume for spelling and grammar errors.

* Do not use type that is smaller than 10 pt. or “fancy” - and use boldface sparingly.

* Do not assume the employer will accept a resume via the U.S. Postal Service unless this is specifically stated in the job requisition.

* NEVER provide personal and/or confidential information to a telephone caller, even if they say they’re a potential employer. No reputable employer will ask for this type of information in a telephone call.

Good hunting!
