Accreditation (APR)

APR is a mark of distinction for public relations professionals who demonstrate their commitment to the profession, its ethical practice, and who are selected based on their knowledge, strategic perspective, and sound professional judgment. If you are a PRSA member and want to enhance your understanding, expertise and professional standing, consider taking the accreditation exam.

In order to achieve accreditation in public relations, candidates must have five years of experience in the field, be approved by a readiness review panel consisting of accredited public relations professionals, and pass a computer-based 150-question multiple choice test. To prepare members for this process, GKC PRSA offers review sessions throughout the year.

Attaining the APR designation signifies a high level of professional experience and competence. For more information about review sessions, to apply for the exam or for maintenance of your accreditation, please contact Matt Tidwell, APR or (816) 556-2069.
